Please feel free to contact the race directors at hagglakemud@gmail.comYour Hagg Mud RDs also put on the Hagg Hybrid Marathon and Marathon Relay, scheduled for September 14, 2013. Todd Janssen Todd Janssen lives in Beaverton with his wife and two dogs. He has been running since he was young – running his first marathon when he was 16 – and is now focused on longer events. In 2011, he competed the Leadman, a series of long-distance events that take place above 10,000 feet, and is a member of one of the top-ranked adventure racing teams in the U.S. He is always looking for new ways to make Hagg Lake a runner-focused event that provides friendly competition, good camaraderie and a reason to want to come back again next year. Eric & Kelly BartenEric & Kelly Barten live in Beaverton with their three cats and welcomed their first child, Eliza, on April 13, 2012. Kelly prefers participating in the “JV ultras” such as the Hagg Lake 25k, which she ran twice, in 2007 and 2009; or the Peterson Ridge Rumble 30k (which she ran in 2007). Kelly founded the RunOregon blog found at oregonlive.com/running and facebook.com/runoregon, which now has a group of 10+ community bloggers covering Oregon and SW Washington running news. Kelly loves the supportive atmosphere found in ultra running, and enjoys working to make Hagg Lake one of the most popular ultras in the Pacific NW. Eric first joined the Hagg Lake team when he planned and prepared all of the food for the 2010 Hagg Lake Ultras. He did such a great job, Kelly and Todd decided to lock him in and invited him to be official as another of their RD team in 2011. Eric has been a runner since high school, and has run six marathons, including a 2:49 PR in Eugene in 2009. In addition to running, he loves cooking and is striving to have the best finish-line food of any Oregon race. |
